I fell in love with my camera when I was 16 years old. I got an opportunity to come to New York City as part of a Girl Scout conference and that was the start of my amazing photography journey. For someone who had never taken a flight in her life, traveling to a new country and on top of that, coming to New York City was exhilarating. I was a teenager and the city blew my mind; I had my camera to journal my experience. It was love at first click.
I went about my life with a camera in hand, never imagining that I could do this full-time. People around me told me that I took good pictures; I thought they were just being nice. I always had the urge to be part of a creative field and ended up marketing movies for a living. It was an absolutely smashing career. I loved being in Bollywood, surrounded by crazy (everyone you meet in the movie industry, including me, has some amount of crazy in them. Without that you won’t make it in entertainment) exciting, chaotic, erratic, temperamental, and awesome creative thinkers.
And then, just like in the movies, New York City created magic in my life for a second time: I met my husband there. Fell head over heels in love, decided to give it all up and move to St Louis. So I moved, with bag and baggage and cameras in hand, to be with my husband. And while I was trying to figure what I wanted to do next in life, I could only think of the fun I had with my camera over the years.
I would love to meet you and your family and design a session suitable to you for capturing images that you will cherish for years to come.
